Ingo is the lighthouse keeper of Ehrenfeld
Ingo Kreutz (40) loves his job. Since one and a half years he cared for as a janitor at the Helios Centre Venlo street. He EXPRESSzeigte the highest point of his work - the lighthouse of Ehrenfeld!
To view this envied many a colleague. Once a month, Ingo Kreutz strode up and check out the neon lights. After more than 150 steps and a metal staircase leads through a ground floor window on the balcony of the tower. "The view here is wonderful," the happy father of two children. "In this job, I've found my fulfillment."
The area is dear to his heart. "The artists and the many other tenants are all nice people, it's great fun to work here."
Every morning at seven clock he begins his work and look after things. For the job he came in a roundabout way. Since he was 23 Years worked as a crane operator for the Kreutz Bauwens group. After restructuring, he took over the local support for some of the objects of Bauwens - as well as for Helios, the Bauwens and two other investors heard.
From 1882 to 1930 Helios presented here produces lighting and traffic lights. In two years, on the site also created homes and offices. In a few weeks will open in a part of a new design center. Artists have their studios here already.
The lighthouse is a listed building, however, and so will increase Ingo Kreutz in the future once a month over the roofs Ehrenfeld and check the light.
