Measurement errors in Cologne particulate levels
Cologne - Defective meters will have the particulate collection in NRW spin. Several devices were said to be calibrated incorrectly, so were determined at five stations in the past year, bad data. Including the device in Cologne on Clevischen ring.
The instruments are said to have measured up to 30 percent higher particulate matter levels.
Since the erroneous information could not be corrected, had the State Office for Nature, Environment and Consumer Protection, delete the complete annual data for 2008. Among the affected cities are also Recklinghausen, Essen, Dortmund and Dinslaken.
